The River Mill Academy STEM program offers elementary, middle and high school students an opportunity to interact with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math concepts in a hands on manner.  Our STEM students have access to and learn from current technologies to help the better understand the ever changing world around them.  Elementary students begin learning 3D modeling through working with Minecraft Education Edition.  Minecraft is an open world gaming platform that has limitless opportunities for students to discover and create.  Elementary students also explore design concepts through working with Legos and K’Nex building sets. Middle schools students have a dynamic program working through multifaceted STEM Kits.  The middle school curriculum includes Ozobots, Gravitrax, SnapCircuits and Engino Kits.  Middle school students also work with 3D printers and 3D design in TinkerCAD.  High School students have the opportunity to take both STEM and Computer Science electives.  In STEM, students learn to program Arduino circuits and in Computer Science students use Code.org to design and code applications.  The generous General Dynamics grant, over the past seven years, has made this program a dynamic part of our school community.
