ACPL
An ACPL Connect account is a special library account that utilizes a student’s ID number with a PIN (Personal Identification Number). There is not a physical card associated with these accounts. Each account is created using data provided by the school. Accounts are automatically created for new students.  Students of all ages benefit from the stronger relationship between school and public  libraries. Through this partnership students become more aware of what activities, books, and other resources are available to them at the public library and get more comfortable using these resources. Don’t worry if you can’t get the materials back on time either! We do not charge you when you check out books with your ACPL Connect account or if they are late. Welcome to River Mill Academy

River Mill Academy is a North Carolina Public Charter School currently serving approximately 800 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our goal is to assist parents in their mission to develop exemplary young citizens with superior academic preparation, equipped with analytical thinking skills, a passion for learning, and a virtuous character, all built upon a solid foundation of knowledge. Our curriculum is challenging and demanding in an age and grade-appropriate manner and our standards are high. 

 We are looking for energetic and interested people to join the RMA Board of Directors and the RMA PTT.

Important Dates:

4/12/2026        Digital ballot registration opens.
Link will be sent in Jaguar Journal and posted on RMA website.

4/16/2026        Board of Directors meeting at 6:30pm.
All candidates are encouraged to attend.

4/24/2026        Close of nominations at Noon.

5/1/2026        (For BOD Nominees Only) 
Signed copy of expectations document due
                       (For ALL Nominees)                        
 *Brief biography and photograph of the nominee.

5/11/2026      Digital ballot registration closes.

5/12/2026      Digital voting begins and closes at 11:59pm.

5/13/2026      In person voting at the school between 7:15am and 3:30pm.

5/14/2026      Election results will be announced at the Board of Directors meeting at 6:30pm.

Students / Driver's Education Information
UPCOMING DRIVERS'EDUCATION

ABSS will be offering a February 2026 in person drivers ed course at ABSS Early College. We will be admitting the oldest 40 students who sign up. Please see the details below. Emails for who made the class will be going out next week..  Every Early College student who has not taken drivers ed, should take this class since it will be the last for EC students until summer. 

Location:    Early College Cafeteria
Class Dates: Monday, February 23rd to Friday, March 6th
No class on the weekends:   Class Times: 3:50pm-6:50pm

Mandatory Student Eye Check and Parent/Student Rules Signing Dates:
For the students who make the class there will be a signup sheet sent to parents and students to come in. This takes place on the weekends and is mandatory.
Instructor:  Chad Aharon
Fee: $65 (non-refundable) Due Wednesday, January 14th by 8pm
