I currently teach English III, English IV, AP Language, and AP Literature. This is my fifth year at River Mill Academy. Previously, I taught academic and creative writing at the university level, ESL in Morocco, and middle school in Norway.

My own educational background is primarily in English; I received my B.A. from Macalester College, an M.F.A. (Creative Writing) from the University of Virginia, and an M.A. from Duke University. I have also completed a teacher licensure program, Pathway to Practice, run by NC State and UNC.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities, and CrossFit.
