Happy Friday!

I hope that this email finds you all doing well.  Thank you to everyone who is sending in the toilet paper and paper towel rolls to go towards our craft!  We are almost a third of the way to our goal.

We've been approved for our first field trip! I will send home permission slips on Monday, September 25.  Our field trip will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 to the Conservators Center.  ALL permission slips, release and money must be turned in by Friday, October 6, 2023.  NO LATE FORMS AND FEES WILL BE ACCEPTED.  If the tie dye shirt that we did for the Fun Run does not fit your child after being washed, please send in another white shirt with their name written on the collar so I can get them dyed.  I will be dying ones for myself and Mrs. Vickrey so that we match.  Please have shirts to me by October 5, as I will not be at school on October 6.  THE TIE DYE SHIRTS WILL BE OUR FIELD TRIP SHIRTS FOR THE YEAR.

Starting on October 2, we will begin Project PINK in our class with our buddy class.  All month long we will be collecting and creating cards of Encouragement for me to take to the Cancer Center at my next appointment on October 31.  As we approach the one year anniversary of my own cancer diagnosis, I feel that it is important for us to give some encouragement to those who need it the most.  The kids are excited to be creating these cards for the patients.  

FALL FESTIVAL:  Friday, October 20, 2023, 5:30-7:30.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.  Or visit the link on my main webpage.  They are asking for donations from our grade level:  Kindergarten, 1^st grade, and 6^th grade- Individually wrapped baked goods (homemade or store bought is fine- if homemade wait to send in later during the week of fall festival) These will be used for the Pumpkin Walk game and concessions.
