  2. Below you will find a list of workbook suggestions for extra practice at home. The series “180 days of…” has a lot of great options for workbooks for second graders that you can find online, and easily on Amazon. If your student needs more practice with decoding and word reading skills, I highly recommend the spelling and word study book. If your student needs more practice with comprehension skills, the reading workbook is an excellent option.
  1. A list of sight words we have learned this year can be found on our class website and is updated weekly. Any help making sure your student knows these will support their reading skills.
  2. I am working to add more resources to our class website with things we have been learning in the classroom. I will let you all know when I have finished uploading everything.
  3. As I mentioned during conferences, zearn.org and esparklearning.com are excellent websites students can log onto at home for more practice. Student’s usernames and passwords can be found in their take home folders.
  4. Lastly, students are bringing home two old math workbooks in their bookbags tomorrow. Please have your student take these out and keep them at home as they will no longer need them at school!

I look forward to meeting you and your student soon!
