All students will receive an invoice in their Student Packet for one or both of the items listed below. Please return the bottom portion of the invoice along with your payment (cash or check) in the packet envelope as soon as possible.
Physical Education - All students in Kindergarten through 8th grade will have Physical Education during the 2022-2023 school year. Elementary students participate on a regular schedule with their class during the week. Middle school students are required to take Physical Education during either the fall or spring semester as an elective class. All Elementary and Middle School students are required to pay a $10 PE fee which covers the cost of materials used in PE classes.
High School students must take at least one Physical Education/Health course (usually during their 9th grade year). High school students may choose to take other Physical Education courses as an elective. All high school students enrolled in a PE course are required to pay a $10 PE fee per course.
Laptop Insurance (Optional) - All eight grade and high school students will be issued a school-owned laptop for their use during the school year. River Mill Academy recently purchased new Lenovo Thinkbook 15 Gen 2 laptops for student use during the upcoming school year. Optional insurance coverage at at cost of $25 per year is highly recommended. This insurance will cover accidental damage to the laptop. If insurance coverage is not purchased, the student/parent will be responsible for covering the cost of damage to the computer (broken cover, missing keys, cracked screen, etc.). The purchase cost of these new laptops is over $800 each. Please note that this insurance must be purchased before the student is issued the laptop.
