About Me

Hello Students and Parents,

My name is Sathya Devi Naru, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your math teacher this year at Rivermill Academy! I’m deeply passionate about mathematics and committed to making it both accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Together, we will embrace math with enthusiasm and curiosity, bravely facing challenges, simplifying complex concepts, and celebrating our achievements and successes along the way. Let’s explore the world of numbers with a sense of wonder and pride.

When we encounter mistakes, failures, setbacks, or disappointments, remember that these are valuable learning opportunities. Each experience allows us to grow, refine our skills, and build resilience. Embrace these moments with patience and a positive mindset, knowing they are stepping stones to greater understanding and eventual success. Our shared journey through confusion and discovery means that every moment of clarity is a victory we will celebrate together. My mission is to transform each question and challenge into an opportunity for deeper knowledge and increased confidence.

In my classroom, humor is a key ingredient because I believe it makes learning not just bearable but truly delightful. I believe that a good laugh is as essential as a good equation, so expect a blend of fun and rigor as we navigate the world of numbers together. Feel free to bring humor into our classroom through your life experiences, math adventures, or even pet stories. Sharing these moments with your peers not only adds to the fun but also strengthens our classroom community. Let’s make learning a delightful experience where every giggle and discovery brings us closer to mastering math together.

Here’s my math mantra: I believe that every student has the potential to succeed in math with the right support and encouragement. My classroom is a space where curiosity is welcomed, mistakes are seen as valuable learning opportunities, and every individual is respected. Think of our class as a playground for learning—where embracing new challenges is exciting, and exploring concepts is a collaborative adventure. I love teaching because it keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I learn as much from my students as they do from me. As we anticipate a remarkable year ahead at Rivermill Academy, I’m highly motivated for the discovery, learning, growth, and, of course, plenty of math that awaits us. Most importantly, I look forward to celebrating our shared successes together. Here’s to a great year where every challenge transforms into an opportunity and every accomplishment is celebrated. I’m eager to embark on this journey with all of you!
