4-H
What is 4-H?
4-H is a youth organization administered by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), with the mission of "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." The name represents four personal development areas of focus for the organization: head, heart, hands, and health.
The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, and life skills of youth through mostly experiential learning programs. Though typically thought of as an agriculturally focused organization as a result of its history, 4-H today focuses on citizenship, healthy living, science, engineering, and technology programs.

4-H meetings are held on the first and third Friday of each month from September to April. The meetings will end at 4:00 pm so make sure an adult is here to pick you up at the white fence leading into the courtyard. Students will need a note from a parent/guardian stating that the student has permission to stay afterschool for the 4-H meeting. Click here for the 2011-2012 4-H calendar.
We are looking forward to a great year with our 4-H members!
